The Old Town from the 12th century:

  • The Santa María Cathedral gothic style the cathedral was part of the old medieval wall. Its portico is considered one of the best Spanish's art expressions of the 14th century and we also highlights its Plateresque choir. It is UNESCO Heritage since 2015.

  • La Torre de Hurtado Anda gothic renaissance style, was built in the 15th century as a defensive tower.

  • El Portalón beautiful gothic tower from the 15th century built as a merchants’ inn. Today the building houses one of the most famous restaurants in the city.

  • La Torre de Doña Otxanda defensive building from the 16th century, currently houses Natural Sciences Museum.

  • The San Pedro Church gothic style, was built attaching itself to the city wall. Inside it contains works of great sculptural richness; it is National Historic-Artistic Monument since 1931.

  • La Casa de Cordón palace built in the 15th century. Stands out the starry and polychrome vault with which the noble tower room is covered. Currently the building houses large number of didactic exhibitions.

Neoclassical city:

  • La Plaza Nueva neoclassical construction that forms a perfect square of 61 meters. In the north wing is the Town Hall and the entire perimeter is formed by arcades with semi-circular arches.

  • LaPlaza de los Fueros was built by the architect Peña Ganchegui and the well-known sculptor Eduardo Chillida. It is made of pink granite with triangular floor.

  • The San Antonio Convent baroque style building of the 12th century, where live a community of Clarisas nuns famous for their sweets.

  • La Catedral Nueva built in neo-gothic style in the first half of the 20th century. It has great sculptural richness that combines religious iconography with other profane themes. The outside gargoyles stand out.
