Puente Colgante

The Bizkaia Bridge was built in 1893 by a pupil of Eiffel and it is UNESCO World Heritage Site from 2006. It is the oldest functioning transporter bridge in the world. There are upper walkways that allow you enjoy interesting panoramic views.

Also worth a visit the Aixerrota Windmill an old windmill from the 17th century, currently houses a restaurant, and the Old Port with its steep streets and white fishermen's houses. In the Neguri district where we can highlight its beautiful palaces and mansions that follow one another along a boulevard by the sea. Plentzia

The village was founded in 1236 and preserves part of its picturesque medieval old town. It is located about 30 km from Bilbao and its pleasant beach and bay that it shares with Gorliz, are the most important tourist attractions of the fishing village.

Not far from Plentzia in the town of Gatika is the Butrón Castle. It was built in the late 19th century on an old tower house and one of whose old towers is still preserved. It is located in the middle of a beautiful grove and has a restaurant that offers medieval dinners.

In Bermeo, the fishing village par excellence is interesting to take a walk around the port and attend the arrival of the boats loaded with fish and the auctions that are held at 7 or 8 in the morning and at 6 in the afternoon.
